manufactured by Venini, Murano, 2011, colourless and aquamarine blue overlaid glass, each vase featuring a different surface texture: “Rosetta”/delicately hammered finish, with incised signature: Prototypo, h. c. Aquamare Ando/venini 2011, acid etched factory mark: 90/Venini/2011/Ando, and factory label: VENINI, height c. 56.5 cm. Prototype for the limited edition of 90 art pieces, 30 for each colour, with different measurement and colour. (MHA)

With a copy of a certificate issued by Venini and signed by Tadao Ando and Giancarlo Chimento. Provenance:

The art of the Japanese architect Tadao Ando is characterised by its consistent minimalism. Similar to his buildings, he also concentrates on simple geometric forms in his vase objects, combining them with the aestheticism of subtle surface accentuations.
