His works are characteristically composed from a few large blocks of colour: the various shapes, in red, blue and white, are sharply delimited. From the view of the observer, the colours appear of equal intensity. A key feature is that each coloured shape forms its own entity, the application of colour lending each a materiality; the design element as such creates the visual impression.
