Set No. 8 from the edition of 18 in royal blue.
The form of the service has been adopted from that designed by the Royale de Sevres porcelain factory for Madame de Pompadour in 1756. Each piece is moulded and painted by hand and decorated with portrait medallions of Cindy Sherman as Madame de Pompadour, which were applied in a complex process involving up to 16 screen prints.
The set was made in apple green, pink, royal blue and yellow, each of which appeared in a limited edition of 18.
