This sideboard is a prototype within the project “The Idea of a Tree”, which also comprises a settee, a rocking bench, a container, and a lamp shade.

This sideboard represents an object from the series “The Idea of a Tree” – an autonomous production process driven by solar power that responds to the various degrees of the sun’s intensity on a particular day, which is then reflected in one object per day. Each object represents the day and place of its making through variations in length, thickness, and colour.
Winter – short object
Summer – long object
Much sun – thick layers and bright colours
Little sun – thin layers and dark colours
