The present painting is a work by an as yet unidentified Umbrian painter from the early 15th Century. The composition of the panel is typical of North Umbrian painting of the time, according to Todini. Characterisitics which can be seen in the harmony of the composition, the facial expressions, as well as the contrast between the red colour of the saints’ elaborately decorated cloaks and the black background.
