designed by Adolf Loos after 1899, manufactured by F. O. Schmidt, Vienna, oak, copper sabots, copper mounted top, six legs, height 67 cm, diameter 80 cm. (DR) Adolf Loos first used this table in 1899 for the lounge area in the living room of the family of the art historian and writer Dr. Hugo Haberfeld at No. 53 Alserstraße in Vienna"™s eighth district. Later on, he frequently referred to this piece of furniture, such as in 1901 for the Stoessl apartment at No. 235 Auhofstraße in Vienna"™s thirteenth district.
