A “Thebes stool”, variation of the model used by Adolf Loos for, among others, Dr Otto and Auguste Stoessl apartment, Vienna XIII, Auhofstr. 235, c. 1900-02
models: the four-leg “Thebes stool”, designed by L. F. Wyburd for Liberty’s, 1884 and an American variation of the “Egyptian” stool, c. 1885; beechwood, brown-stained; the upholstery (leather cover and decorative brass knobs) professionally replaced; restored, signs of age and use; height 45.5 cm, length 60 cm, width 60 cm.
