A ‘fish’ travel clock by Georges Lenfant Movado - Jewellery

Georges Lenfant studied jewellery both in Paris and abroad before becoming a Cartier workmaster. He registered his distinctive maker’s mark as soon as 1909 and manufactured pieces of jewellery for Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels as well as Mellerio dits Meller. Georges was joined in the business in 1915 by his son Jacques who was only 11 at the time. Lenfant designed jewels for Gustave Roger Sandoz, Vacheron Constantin and Hermes. A fine and often original execution remained typical of Lenfant pieces well into the 1970s.
