in 1953, for Airborne / France, classic pared-down structure in black lacquered tubular steel, seat shells with original red and blue textile covering. Dimensions of each chair: height c. 69 cm, width c. 61 cm, depth c. 76 cm, height of seat c. 36 cm. (MHA)
Original condition.
Pierre Guariche (1926-1995) was a French architect, designer and interior decorator. Guariche was a pupil of Reneé Gabriel, and this appears clearly in his bold, expressive formal language. From 1951 onwards, the Airborne company commissioned him by to realise interiors.
