Private collection Rome, since circa 1995

The present painting is stylistically close to the works of Viviano Codazzi from the late 1650s to early 1660, and it can be compared to the Ruins with a Landscape dated 1654 (see D. R. Marshall, Viviano and Niccolò Codazzi and the baroque architectural fantasy, Milan 1993, p. 188 cat. no. VC79).
