Giuseppe Canella
(Verona 1788–1847 Florence)
A Baroque palace in Verona, pencil on paper, 21,8 x 28 cm, mounted, unframed, (Sch)
The sheet shows a perspective view of a Baroque palazzo. The palace with 13 axis of windows and a powerful central risalit is flanked by two rustic adjacent buildings and is situated at the Via Achille Forti. The street sign „Vicolo Du Mori“ locates the place of the execution of this drawing very precisely and allows the comparison of the sheet with the still existing palace.
