A unique object.
“I have always been interested in the idea of considering that we are a part of the natural order and that we need to remain connected to and aware of our responsibility to thrive symbiotically with our environment. So I really enjoy the opportunity to design nature-inspired work when it comes my way.” (John Vogel)
John Vogel has a design background in architecture and started making furniture as a student. He feels a strong affinity for timber and most of his inspiration comes from the natural world and the exploration of organic forms. Working with the pretext that the state of our consciousness is proportional to the quality of our relationship with nature, the focus of his work is to create vernacular pieces that promote the connection of people to the natural world. Core design values are simplicity and imagination, which translate into refined shapes that are exquisitely finished, beautifully comfortable and timeless.
