The table by Heimo Zobernig is a prototype featuring a blue glass top, while the chairs have jointly been created by both artists. The frame of the chair was conceived by Franz West, while Heimo Zobernig added the coloured carpet flooring for the seats and backrests. The chairs were commissioned for an exhibition on Austrian architecture in Seville in 1998, where they were used for the lecture hall. Altogether 98 steel chairs by West were covered with monochrome carpet flooring in 15 colours based on Zobernig’s concept.
