Provenance:
Collection Albert Pollak (1878-1943), Bielsko/Groningen;
May 1938 confiscation of his collection by the GESTAPO Vienna;
November 1941 transferred to the Albertina by the central authority for monument protection;
July 1948 provision to the heirs in the succession of Albert Pollak through the Financial Directorate;
December 1950 hand over to the heirs in the succession of Albert Pollak;
October 1951 (unpaid) surrender of the heirs in the succession of Albert Pollak to the Albertina as quid pro quo for export permission (Inv. Nr. 29241);
January 2001 decision for approval of restitution to the heirs of Albert Pollak.
