"Mappe der Gegenwart", 1923, portfolio with 5 (of 6) original prints and 39 (of 42) facsimile prints, the latter partly in colour, each of the original prints signed, exhibition copy aside from the edition of 80 numbered deluxe edition items, the total edition was 500 copies, portfolio size 64.5 x 49 x 4.5 cm, published as 42nd printing of the Marees-Gesellschaft/Munich in Verlag R. Piper/Munich, with a text by Julius Meier-Gräfe, the table of contents and printer’s mark in original half-linen portfolio (damaged), the original lithograph 'Seiltänzer' by Paul Klee as well as the facsimile prints no. 4) Maillol, 20) Picasso and 30) Lehmbruck are missing, (44), (RAC)
Containing the following original prints by: Lovis Corinth, 'Das jüngste Gericht (Der Heilige Michael)', drypoint etching, signed, Müller 672 - Max Beckmann, 'Frauenbildnis (Bildnis Frau H. M./Naila)', woodcut, signed, Hofmaier 282 IV B a (of b) - Rudolf Grossmann, 'Der Tanz', drypoint etching, signed- Erich Heckel, 'Idyll (Am Strand)', Holzschnitt, signiert, Dube H 336 III - Felix Meseck, 'Landschaft', drypoint etching, signed. All sheets with the blindstamp of the Marees-Gesellschaft and in the original passepartouts. The facsimile prints after, among others: Hodler, Gaugin, Redon, Bonnard, Matisse, Derain, Picasso, Braque, Munch, Chagall, Barlach, Hofer, Beckmann, Pechstein, Kokoschka, Marc, Heckel, Klee.
