In 1947 Seeburg released its „Shoot the bear“ rifle game, featuring a Ray-o-lite G4 gun. The target was a bar that was hunted in circles by a dog. The bear had three optical lenses, one on each side and one on its chest. To score the light beam from the gun needed to strike a lens. The bear would then stop, get on his rear feet, roar with red light in his eyes, get back on all fours, and run in the opposite direction.
“Shoot the bear” was a great success for Seeburg and quite contrary to those days’ policy remain in their program for three years. Still today it is among fans’ favorites.
This Seeburg slot machine presents itself in largely unrestored condition. It has not been in use for a while and will require some work.. Therefore we have not tried if it works and and it will strictly be sold as is, without any guarantee for functionality.
