Italy c. 1950 / 1960, four legged beechwood construction, stained to simulate mahogany, with polished finish, removable tray, glass insert, brass handles, lower level featuring a newspaper holder with glass plates fitted into a wooden construction; dimensions: height c. 64.5 cm, width c. 54 cm, depth c. 38 cm. Slight signs of age and use, partly with small scratches and minor partial abrasions. (MHA)
Ico Parisi (Palermo 1916 - 1996 Como) was an Italian architect and designer. He engaged in furniture design especially between 1948 and 1950. Cesare Lacca (1929 Naples) was also an Italian architect and designer. He created modernist furniture and metalwork during the 1950s. The present design follows the formal language of both designers.
