Karsch only knows of one copy, but suspects 3 existing prints. The present example is the second known. The overall effect of our copy is clearer than that illustrated by Karsch, which is printed with a lot of tone, especially in the sky and on the left edge. In contrast to this, the present example shows a light gray area over the back, which is not recognizable on the example illustrated by Karsch. From 1908 Otto Mueller used what he called an “old stone” for his lithographs, with a semi-circular edge chipping.
