In 2003 Johann Kronbichler endorsed the attribution of the present painting. He sees it influenced by Sebastiano Ricci’s Assumption in the Karlskirche, Vienna. A comparable painting was sold at Dorotheum, Salzburg, 5 April 2023, lot 27.
