This painting, attributable to a Flemish late Mannerist master, may depict an allegory celebrating a reigning prince. The protagonist of the composition is a figure in armour, standing under a canopy, held by two cherubs, the symbol of regents, and in front of him are members of the various social orders: a farmer, a gentleman and a cleric. In the foreground figures appear to announce the fulfilment of the divine will in the assumption of power by the young prince and on the right the dog held on a lead by the man in armour symbolises loyalty. In the upper left Moses is shown possible referring to the rule of law.
