1973 Maserati Bora 4900

1973 Maserati Bora 4900 - Autoveicoli d'epoca

Unrestored with only 33,000 km!
Matching numbers!

Maserati presented the Bora at the Geneva Motor Show in 1971. Giorgetto Giugiaro created the design of Maserati's first mid-engine sports car. Like in racing cars, the motor was located behind the driver, which made it possible to design a flatter car. This super sports car, good for 270 km/h, sits low to the road as it waits for highway prey. Only 564 units were built by 1978, of which 275 were 4900 models. Incidentally, the car came from Citroen.

According to the production plate, this Maserati was built in September 1973, in "Verde Indy" with a tan leather interior. It was then sent to the USA, where it evidently led a tranquil life. The only owner had the Bora registered in Germany in 2003. At the time of the conversion to km/h, the existing speedometer only showed 18,213 miles. This low mileage is reflected in the condition of the car. Every detail of the Bora is exciting. Stainless steel roof, engine compartment, interior, wheels: everything is fresh and unused. The paint is the only thing that has been renewed. The German Maserati fan spent a lot more time taking care of the car than driving it, as is made clear by the mere 3,890 km of mileage from its new life. The new owner will be grateful to him, since they are getting a living witness of the wild 70s, every detail of which is still fascinating today!
