1933 Plymouth Deluxe Six Coupe

1933 Plymouth Deluxe Six Coupe - Autoveicoli d'epoca

Most likely newly shipped to Austria!
Same owner for the last 50 years!

In 1932, when all of America was still in the midst of the Great Depression, Plymouth was the only manufacturer able to increase sales compared to the previous year. At the end of the year, Plymouth said goodbye to the four cylinders and introduced a six cylinder, the PC, as the successor. Since the proportions on the short chassis frame did not turn out to be very advantageous, this vehicle did not have much sales success. Plymouth already sent the PD to the races in January, with its long chassis frame and side-mounted spare tires.

This Plymouth coupe was most likely delivered to Austria as a new car! From the special permit dated May 3, 1954, it can be presumed that the car had previously driven on Austria's roads. The extraordinary km/h on the speedometer backs up this assumption. After the Plymouth coupe was registered in the 7th municipal district of Vienna from 1954 to 1964, it was registered under a woman’s name in 1966 for just one month before being handed over to its owner of two years. In December 1966, Chrysler confirmed in a letter that the car was built in 1933 based on the engine number. It spent the next 48 years parked, but evidently well protected. It is hard to believe that the little coupe has survived in such excellent condition, although of course the mechanics need to be somewhat revitalized. However, this is not a big deal since, after all, the engine was practically unchanged until the late 50s. Only the door paneling and the dickey seats have not made it throughout the years. This Plymouth has survived a World War, had fallen into oblivious for nearly 50 years, and is absolutely a one-of-a-kind today with its history!
