Collection Josef Klemm (Wiener Neustadt 1821–1882), Vienna (Lugt 1574); Josef Klemm was a book dealer, publisher and politician. He belonged to the Liberals in the Viennese municipal council and initiated the construction of the Viennese water supply from mountain springs. He collected books and works by Austrian masters of the 19th century; his sale, C. J. Wawra, Wien, 20th April 1897, lot 123; Collection Ender; Collection Eduard Perger (1847–1918), Baden near Vienna; his estate auction sale, C. J. Wawra, Wien, 22nd September 1930, lot 171 (not sold); his estate auction sale, Albert Kende, Vienna, 29th May 1934, lot 276; Collection Bukowicz, Vienna; Auction Weinmüller Vienna, 15th March 1939, lot 543 (unsold, returned to the consignor); the heirs - Private collection, Lower Austria.
