Ford presented the Capri as the ‘European Mustang’ in January 1970. The coupé combined the flair of a sports car with the requirements for a family vehicle. An extraordinarily broad range of engines and countless accessory options enabled almost innumerable variations. Its launch was greeted with instant success. Once a regular feature on the roads, Capris have all but disappeared today.

An employee from Tyrol registered this vehicle with its sporty/luxurious ‘XL features’ on 7 May 1973, and kept it running until 1997! The Ford remained stationary until 2009, until the consignor had it repainted and registered. The incredibly good condition of this fascinating Capri still catches the eye. Even the sensitive body is delightfully beautiful and without a blemish. The XL interior in synthetic leather is just as well preserved. It is immediately evident that the coupé was in good hands throughout its life. The Capri appears to have preserved all its original features, apart from a modern radio. The engine purrs and clearly demonstrates that a sleek sportster does not need exorbitant horse power to offer a thrilling ride.
