Lancia presented the new Fulvia - a quintessential Lancia - as the representative of the “upper middle-class bracket” at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963. The striking saloon car was powered by an unusual V4 engine with 13° bank angle with four disc brakes for reliable deceleration. Available with high-quality features, the company modelled the Fulvia on its bigger brothers. The 1.3-litre engine was introduced with the second series in 1969, turning its initial lethargy directly on its head.

This Lancia was delivered to Graz. The most recent owner purchased the saloon as far back as 1990. A big fan of Italy, he mainly focused on Alfa Romeo, but this understated saloon caught his eye, probably due to its condition and technical sophistication. It is hardly surprising, therefore, that he immediately added a fresh coat of paint and then carefully placed the Fulvia in his garage. The car was rarely driven, so the Lancia was inspected and freshly serviced just before consignment. The unprepossessing saloon was always a little overshadowed by the coupé, unjustly so, as it is also equipped with elaborate mechanics. Evidently, this one was always lovingly cared for and kept safely, as evidenced by the beautifully preserved interior. Unrestored, its patina adds a particularly convincing touch of charm. It is a compact sports saloon, similar to a Giulia, with a vivacious temperament. As a late model from the second series, it comes with a 5-speed gearbox, which always ensures lively acceleration and brings a strong flavour of dolce vita to everyday life.
