Mir fällt nichts ein, mir fällt nur meine eigene Person ein. Ich bin eigentlich in meiner eigenen Person unheimlich eingesperrt, gefangen, gefesselt. Ich habe versucht mich zu befreien, mir gelingt es nicht, soviel ich male, je mehr ich male, je mehr male ich mich selber und immer dasselbe. Es ist eigentlich fürchterlich, ein fürchterlicher Zustand.

Nothing occurs to me, only my own self comes to mind. I am actually uncannily confined in my own person, imprisoned, bound. I have tried to free myself, but I’m not able to, as much as I paint, the more I paint, the more I paint myself and always the same thing. It’s actually terrible, a terrible situation.
