so-called ‘Tabernacle’, South German mid-18th century, type ‘à trois corps’, nut veneered softwood frame with polished finish, curved and angled front, marquetried with additional precious woods in panels and bands, chest with 2 drawers, writing compartment with hinged top and 2 drawers, cabinet with 11 drawers and a niche door featuring an extremely elaborate illusionist architecture, fire-gilt bronze mounts, c. 210 x 132 x 76 cm, well-kept condition
