Middle-German Master, late 15th century
Saint George and the Dragon, and Saint Martin of Tours Dividing his Cloak for a Beggar,
oil on panel, on the reverse remains of pressed brocade pattern decoration with pomegranate motif, each 105 x 75 cm, framed, (2)
Both paintings were once probably parts of the wings of a larger altarpiece. Their proportions suggest that these wings must have consisted of at least two pictures on top of each other.
