The Sniezne Kotły, known as ‘Schneegruben’ in German, are two glacial cirques in the western Krkonoše mountains (Giant Mountains) in Poland, near the Czech border. The steep rock walls of the cirque are about 200m high. On the edges of the cirque are several small lakes, known as ‘tarn lakes’ or ‘corrie lochs’.
