German car with documentation

The VW Porsche 914 appeared at the end of August 1969. The mid-engined car had a removable top and tame performance thanks to the VW engine. An alternative version of the concept, the 914-6, was available with a Porsche engine. There was a 50% increase in the price, but at least 100% more driving fun. A few of these 914-6 were sold as the GT model, and were recognizable from the massive fender flares.

The consignor himself drove a 914 in 1972 and dreamed of a GT. He remembered that dream of his youth in 2009 and made it real, in order to drive "through the Dolomites" with his wife. He purchased this VW Porsche fourth-hand. The car had been delivered to Wolfsburg originally in order to be modified. The car was in solid, running condition. He had VW dismantle the car completely and rebuilt it on an empty body. New GT extensions in steel changed the look of the car, supported dramatically by the new Fuchs 8" wheels. Mechanically, it is based on the 914-6, to get the 2.7-litre engine along with the Porsche gearbox. The company Seemeier rebuilt the engine from scratch, fitting it out with triple Zenith 40 TN carburettors. The 914 now had 150 HP, fitting for a sports car. The interior was redone based on the original. All in all, the vehicle underwent 6 years of work. It was rebuilt without compromise with an investment that far exceeds the value of the car. The consignors is extremely satisfied with the result and is happy to have acquired his dream car. His wife recently purchased to dogs, which means the priorities have changed. We are certain that the buyer will be overjoyed with this dream car come true!
