In 1953, Chevrolet created the mythical American sports car par excellence, the Corvette. As of 2013, there had been seven generations. The C3, produced from 1967 to 1982, is the longest-running series, which completely contradicts the general American trend of changing models quickly. The C3 has become distinctive and somewhat eccentric, but never outdated. Its appearance was derived from the 1965 design study "Mako Shark II". Among fans, the C3 is regarded as the cult Corvette.

This Corvette was built on October 14, 1976, which makes it a 1977 model. The C3 came from Massachusetts/USA to Germany in 2010. In the meantime, the Corvette received a new paint job – in the original "buckskin" colour of course. The colour of the original leather interior has the same name. In 2015, the consignor performed the full registration process for admission in Germany. This technical inspection confirmed the solid mechanics. The Corvette is not perfect, but more than proper. Above all, it offers instant fun. The air conditioning was shut down, since the removable roof panels fulfil this function, anyhow. This C3, with its restrained colour, is definitely a presence, but avoids the tendency toward exaggeration, making it a very nice representative of its brand!
