The verso bears a red lacquer seal with an old paper label, inventory number, and owner’s name (?): Reckings;
a further paper label inscribed in an old hand: D(?) Vinckeboom(?) Landschaft/mit Gebirge und schönen Bäumen(?)/82. a(m?). S(ee) schöne(?) R.(ebhuhn?) Jagd(?), and dimensions.
The present painting portrays Flemish influences, such as those of David Vinckboons, Marten Rijckaert, Abraham Govaerts, and the Master of the Rosenborg Hunting Scenes.
