Tobias Dyonis Raulino was the son of a merchant and was born in Mainz. In 1820 he came to Vienna. His small charming watercolour vedutas of Vienna and its surrounding were very popular. In 1825 he presumably painted all drafts for the landscape series "Wiens Mahler: Umgebungen" for the publishing house Joseph Trentsensky in Vienna.
