1992 BMW 850i

1992 BMW 850i - CLASSIC CARS and Automobilia

Stylish coupé with only 57.122 km

BMW first presented the deluxe coupé 850i at the IAA 1989. Under the guidance of Claus Luthe, Klaus Kapitza went for comparatively muscular lines. The front recalls the M1, while the projecting wings of an M3 and the decision to do without a B-pillar brought back traditional stylistic elements of the BMW coupé. The interior is distinguished by a sense of intimate sportiness. Coupled with the new V12, which guaranteed BMW a special position among German deluxe saloons, this made the 850i the Bavarians’ leading model.

The present 850i was originally shipped to Japan, equipped with automatic transmission, leather, air condition, sun roof, and many other useful gadgets. To the modern observer, it is the low mileage, documented in the form of a stamped service booklet, rather than its opulent features that make this car so desirable. The consigner had the BMW adapted to German regulations and passed the general inspection, so that the car could be registered right away.
The present 8 series BMW has a lot going for it and in particular its low mileage make this 850i one of few and a youngtimer with potential!
