1977 Jaguar XJ12 Coupè
Jaguar already presented the coupé version of its XJ saloon at the IAA 1973. Significant changes to the two-door body on a shortened wheelbase included the frameless side windows that could be recessed completely in the style of modern hardtops. It was not until 1975, however, that these beauties became available for purchase! By November 1977, this model version was already discontinued. During this period only 604 left-hand drive XJ12C were produced.
This Jaguar was originally delivered to Germany. Documents show that the coupé had already been restored in 1984. In October 1986, the car was sold to Austria and registered on 12 December 1986. It has been registered to the present consigner since 1 October 1998! As part of his collection, it was cared for more that it was driven. More than 30 years after its restoration, we are still in the presence of a luxury coupé in solid condition. The body still shines, though the paint requires attention in some places. The state of the leather upholstery speaks volumes! The headliner has recently been replaced and once again matches the interior perfectly. The purring sound of the twelve-cylinder engine demonstrates that 30 years of love and care have paid off. The new owner will now reap the benefit of all this meticulous work!
