Landgraf von Louviers aus der Ladora was born in 1914 at the Wallburg stud in Elsace. Owned by Richard Haniel (1865-1936), a member of the Haniel family of entrepreneurs from Diusburg, he won, amongst others, the German Derby of 1917 and was regarded as one of the best German racehorses of his time. Provenance: Internationaler Sportclub Baden Baden, Auction 24 July 2010.
