Completely restored convertible in a dream combination!

At the end of the 1960s Triumph gave Karmann the task of overhauling the now ageing TR 5. In Germany, the original Michelotti design was adapted to the then contemporary zeitgeist, leaving the mechanics essentially unaffected. In 1969, Triumph presented its new TR 6 with its new German tailor-made suit concealing its renowned robust mechanics. Success didn’t take that long to rear its face!

This TR 6 was built for the USA in August 1974 and was ultimately shipped from California to Bavaria in 1992. During this time, it was extensively restored. Obvious to anyone is the fact that no expense has been spared anywhere on the car. Whether it be with fitting real leather seats or with the fabric top. Along the way the roadster was also given a sporty makeover. Its sportscar engine ensures some snappy handling, with its trademark sportscar air filters underpinning its muffled engine sound. Spoked wheels with a central locking system reinforce its classic aura. Equipped with a tripmaster, the TR has made several successful appearances at vintage motor car events over recent years.
