The present portrait is an example of the artistic production in Florence from the third quarter of the 15th century and it can be compared to facial types in Paolo Uccello’s late works; in particular the Crucifixion with the Virgin, Saint John the Baptist, Saint John the Evangelist and Saint Francis in the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid and the Hunt in the Forest in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford and the predella of the Miracle of the Desecrated Host in the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, Urbino.
