Gerardina Jacoba van de Sande Bakhuyzen: Daughter and pupil of Hendrik Bakhuyzen. She achieved a significant degree of renown as the result of her numerous still lifes with flowers and fruit (in both oil and watercolour) and was the recipient of many awards. During the 1870´s and ´80´s her technically very accomplished still lifes with flowers and others subjects were frequently hung in exhibitions in Austria and Germany. Today her works can be found in museum collections in Amsterdam, Haag, Haarlem, Hannover and Rotterdam.
