Provenance: Auction Sothebys, London, 22.06. 1983; Private German collection. Ignaz Raffalt was a pupil at the Vienna Academy from 1820 to 1825. He lived and worked in Styria, Carinthia and, from 1839, in Vienna. Raffalt is one of the most important Mood Impressionists.
