The German art historian Prof. Dr. Kilian Heck confirmed to the previous sellers not only that the present painting is a portrait of Princess Helene von Mecklenburg-Schwerin, but also its attribution to the painter Gaston Camille Lenthe, who was the princess’s drawing teacher.
