The history and genre painter, Hans Jordaens III produced figural groups for the paintings of Abraham Govaerts, Joost de Momper and Jan Wildens. His oeuvre is very close to the work of Frans Francken II. Two comparable paintings, entitled, “The crossing of the Red Sea by the Israelites,” are to be found at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Gemäldegalerie.
