German private property.

Active as a landscape painter and engraver, the artist was a pupil of Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot and Charles-Francois Daubigny. The atmospheres and moods of his predominantly river landscapes were influenced by the Barbizon school. Delpy exhibited regularly at the Société des Artistes Français.
