As Abraham returns home from battle, Melchizedek presents him with bread and wine, oil on canvas, 225 x 323 cm, all four paintings not framed or only provisionally

Provenance: Formerly in the artist’s collection in Antwerp; Belgian private collection. A fifth picture belonging to this series went elsewhere on the division of the estate. Balthasar Beschey was the most important Antwerp painter in the 18th century.
