The Galerie Guido Arnot was founded in Vienna in 1909 at the address Kärntnerring 13. From 1912 it was located at Kärntnerring 15, as indicated on the back label of this lot. Several exhibitions in this gallery are documented, among others showing French paintings. In 1928, when Guido Arnot moved to London, the company was deleted from the Vienna Commercial Register. Arnot took British citizenship in 1934 and died in London in 1946.
