Provenance:
European Private Collection.

The present work was executed in connection with Alexander Nikolaevich Benois Versailler’s 1905-07 cycle or with his work for the ballet by Nikolai Tcherepnin (1873-1945) “Le pavillon d’Armide” for Sergei Djagilev’s Saisons Russes at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris (1909).
