South German, first half of the 17th century, spring case in the shape of a heart with 4 open compartment bolts, on an openwork base plate - this with filigree vine tendrils, 2 latches and octagonal chapel, c. 24 x 53 cm, original key with finely manufactured bit, lock in working order, on supplemented wooden base, with age-related traces of use and corrosion.
