Vienna c. 1815/20, mahogany veneered hardwood and softwood frame in flaring design, armrests with caryatids in so-called ‘verde antico’ decor, gold painted carved decoration in the form of acanthus leaves, Indian ink painting on the outer sides of the rests and on the upper edge of the backrest, high-quality free-standing silk moiré upholstery (stained), width c. 160 cm, height of backrest c. 113 cm, height of seat c. 47 cm, some flaking of paint, signs of age and use.
