clear crystal glass, cover finial with ogival arch dome, surrounded by 5 pointed facets and 5 pointed bulbous facets, cover with 10-facet decorative motifs, serrated edge, the inside with grooved and small star cut decoration, conical bowl with 10-facet decoration, cut medallion with the white bust of Archduke Charles of Austria with the necklace of the Order of the Golden Fleece, on the sides octagonal cut medallions with grooved and small star cut decoration as well as oval cut medallions with sphere and rosette cut decoration, the base of the body with 10-facet points, facetted knop and stem with air column merging with the foot, base with grooved and small star cut decoration, total height 32 cm, cover diameter 13 cm, base diameter 12, 15 cm, very slightly chipped
Bohemia c. 1820 (Ru)

Archduke Charles, son of Emperor Leopold II and Princess Maria Ludovica of Spain, Florence 5.9.1771-30.4.1847 Vienna, the victor of Aspern 21/22.5.1809, married the Protestant Princess Henriette of Nassau-Weilburg in 1815, he had the Weilburg Castle built in Baden near Vienna. Henriette bore him four boys and 2 girls and died in 1829.
