The Tiburtine Sibyl and Emperor Augustus, a single sheet from a Paris book of hours, with opening psalm ”Deus in adiutorium meum intende: Domine ad adiuvandum me festina” (Vulgata Psalm 69,2), metalcut on vellum, colored, brush gold, 15,5 x 9,5 cm, mounted, framed, wavy, (BH)

The colored metalcut can be attributed to the workshop of Jean Pichore (aktiv 1502–1521), published by Gillet/German Hardouin (active 1500–1550) in Paris. The cycle includes 18 pictures. The coloring may have been applied contemporaneously to the cut, using abundantly brush gold and thus covering iconographic and architectural details such as the figure group within the row of arcades and the architectural super structures above the arcades.
